Job Summary
Responsible for leading the concept and creative development of written messaging and communication for social media marketing campaigns and strategy. The editor must have a creative approach and excel at working in a fast-paced environment — writing, editing, and collaborating on written and video content quickly, cleanly, and succinctly. Must have experience shaping content to finesse the voice for different social networks, and be a strong collaborator, working in real-time with the editorial and marketing teams to engage and build on relevant social conversations while maintaining editorial and brand standards. Content includes Brand Marketing, Retail, Pharmacy, Lifestyle, Health & Wellness, Owned Brands, Loyalty and Seasonal. Ensures the tone of voice and integrity of the brand is effectively present throughout all tactics inclusive of social media, advertising, digital, branded platforms, and targeted campaigns, and maintains continuity in all facets of the brand experience. Coaches and mentors writers and designers on the team.

Job Responsibilities
- Creates, develops, and executes more complex quality copy for marketing vehicles including circular, catalogs, collateral, brochures, direct mail, newspaper ads, magazine ads, in-store signs, emails, presentations, packaging, internal campaigns, social and content marketing, online services, digital advertising, and internal ad hoc requests.
- Maintains knowledge of current copy standards and formats to consistently and effectively convey the company’s image and positioning within the marketplace. Guides and ensures appropriate copy standards for project teams, which may include multiple Copywriters.
- Collaborates with manager, designers, writers, other marketing team members, and external stakeholders to ensure the appropriate concepts, themes, and messages are represented effectively and consistently for the business objective(s) and audience(s).
- May contribute to content strategy and editorial decisions such as determining what content we should engage our customers with, topics for articles, and approach to content organization and deployment
- Ensures assignments adhere to the approved brand and messaging guidelines to maintain our corporate identity.
- Communicates regularly with project management team to ensure assignments are completed on time.
- Attends and/or leads meetings facilitated by business area or project initiator to understand the goals and objectives throughout the stages of a project.
- Presents assignments to business area managers/leaders and peers as needed.
- Leads the team’s more complex creative assignments and mentors other team members

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree and at least 1 year of experience writing copy for marketing materials across a variety of media including collateral, catalogs, direct mail pieces, magazine ads and circular spots OR High School Diploma/GED and at least 4 years of experience writing copy for marketing materials across a variety of media including collateral, catalogs, direct mail pieces, magazine ads and circular spots.
- Knowledge of consumer, industry and competitive trends including knowledge of industry design styles, standards and formats.
- Experience collaborating with internal and external resources to develop strategies that meet department goals within budget and established timelines.
- Experience developing ways of accomplishing goals with little or no supervision, depending on oneself to complete objectives and determining when escalation of issues is necessary.
- Experience creating ad campaign concepts for various media.
- Experience with MS Office Suite.
- Experience presenting to and coordinating senior level meetings, including preparation of agendas and documents.
- Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with multi-cultural marketing.
- Experience with Retail.
- Experience with Adobe CS.
- Experience with social media marketing and user-generated content.
- Experience with health and/or medical marketing communications.
- Knowledge of brand identity guidelines and style guidelines to achieve consistent and effective messaging and corporate image in all marketing concepts
- Fluency in Spanish.
