Job Summary

The Specialist, Ad Operations will be responsible for managing the creative development, execution and production workflow executing of Walgreens Advertising Group media campaigns across multiple digital channels under the supervision of the Manger, Ad Operations and team lead(s). This role is made for an entrepreneurial mindset who is excited to be a part of building out operational processes for Walgreens Advertising Group. The Specialist, Ad Operations will own the day-to-day operations of routing creative production and review for their assigned division. The ideal candidate will have a strategic, analytical, collaborative mindset with the availability to manage multiple initiatives independently under general guidance.

Job Responsibilities

  • Performs and implements daily operational activities that impact basic/standard components / processes of the specified Digital Marketing work function, and may include responsibilities in the area of digital Merchandising, Photo, eHealth, User Experience, Strategy, or Marketing, such as:
    • Creating analyses to study key area trends.
    • Running reports and performing analyses to ensure compliance with business strategy.
    • Assisting in development of new programs and enhancing current programs to meet performance objectives.
    • Running ad-hoc analyses to identify and recommend innovative options to drive business strategy.
    • Performing research to identify industry trends and best practices.
    • Evaluating key area trends and developing/implementing innovative programs/improvements
    • Analyzing performance against departmental objectives.
    • Participating in monitoring departmental strategies and goals.
  • Identifies and determines likely reasons for problematic causes. Prepares accurate documentation and communication to effectively facilitate elimination of problems / roadblocks as they occur and create efficient fixes.
  • May participate in the development of budgets for the functional area of responsibility.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally to accomplish activities. Interacts with internal and external peers and/or managers to exchange semi-complex information related to assigned activities.
  • Gathers and updates necessary information and communicates to appropriate parties.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree OR High school diploma / GED and at least 3 years of experience in Merchandising, Marketing, eCommerce, Strategy, Healthcare, Analytics, Finance, and/or Operations.
  • Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.
  • Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience providing thorough, accurate, and organized assignments and meeting deadlines
• Experience with digital marketing and/or website marketing; familiarity with media measurement and tagging
• Experience with retail and ecommerce; previous experience with a retail media network preferred
• Experience developing and delivering presentations to various audience levels within an organization
• Experience with ad servers and creative management platforms (example: GAM/DCM, tag management and trafficking, Workfront, Adobe suite)
• Strong ability to cultivate relationships both internally and externally
• Ability to solve complex problems and issues leveraging past learnings, while applying new perspective
• Strong bias toward action and results-oriented activities
• Passion for learning new skills, expanding experience
• Exceptional communication, presentation, organizational, collaboration, and follow-up skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects while still ensuring all timelines and key milestones are met
• Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Media Planning, Ad Operations, Data Science, Measurement, Analytics, Digital Merchants, Digital Commerce, Digital Experience, IT, MarTech, Data Governance, and Product teams
