Job Summary

The Principal Product Owner PPO oversees activity of lead product owners and product owners and is responsible for the strategic growth of new and management of existing Capabilities Features for PHT platform, prioritizing the Planning Backlog, in collaboration with Product Managers PM and Product Architects PA supports Release Plans through scope definition to streamline products delivery.

Job Responsibilities
  • Fosters an overall holistic approach to the Platform and functional domain subdomains scope and conveys it to the entire Engineering team along with a set of capabilities assigned to Platform
  • Assigned to Domain or set of Domains within Product Engineering organization working to keep teams aligned to development of the Domains capabilities and features
  • Contributes to the definition of capability feature catalog and identifying upfront dependencies
  • Provides overview of capability or features scope to Chief Scrum Masters CSM to support Release Planning estimations and delivery
  • Works in collaboration with Product Architect PA and CSMs, of a Platform, to which he or she resides, to facilitate Platform and Solution delivery
  • Oversees decomposition of capabilities to features and supports LPOs and POs accountable for it
  • Approves Functional Refinement Plans, ensuring releases can be delivered as planned
  • Manages the cross domain streams of Refinement workshops for the functional domains assigned tothe Platform
  • Ensures alignment and consistency of the work of the several POs in the Platform
  • Drives resolution, taking accountability, and being proactive in driving closure to issues
  • Effectively manages meetings by identifying agenda, minutes, decisions, and actions for each meeting
  • Ensures LPOs and POs provide teams with necessary information to start design activities.
  • Collaborates with Engineering leads and CSMs on Release Plans or Release Planning and responsible for Sprint scope planning
  • Identifies dependencies and constraints internal to a Platform with PAs and CSMs, to which he or she resides call out dependencies and constraints with PAs and CSMs, to other Platforms, when known. Identifies and contributing to process improvements, within Requirements Engineering, Platforms, and across the Program
  • Collaborates on an Integrated Plan with all Delivery roles
  • Accountable for validation of constructed capabilities
  • Accountable for the demo events for the Platform on release level
  • Creates clear actionable plans that meet goals, objectives, metrics and performance of the engineering requirements and the platform team.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree and at least six years OR High School GED at least nine years of experience in a Technical Product Management or Product Owner role
  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • Experience directing and motivating the Engineering team
  • Experience relaying expectations of product features to the development team
  • Experience conducting surveys to determine most appropriate feature to add to a new or existing product.
  • Experience working with user groups and scrum team to obtain and analyze user stories
  • At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.
  • At least 3 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross functional team leadership.
  • Willing to travel up to/at least 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state)

Preferred Qualifications
An employee in this position can expect a salary/hourly rate between $98,100 and $267,000 bonus pursuant to the terms of any bonus plan if applicable.
