Job summary:
Walgreens is on the lookout for a passionate and visionary Senior Manager, Special Projects. In this role, you’ll report to the Communications Director, People and Culture, and collaborate closely with Human Resources to craft and deliver communications that drive culture change, inspire team members, and reinforce Walgreens as an employer of choice.

Job Responsibility:
- Strategic Partnership and Planning: Work closely with business partners, planning and executing culture and change management communications plans.
- Communication Execution: Work across corporate communications and business unit communications to flawlessly execute communications plans and campaigns.
- Continuous Improvement: Measure the effectiveness of communications and leverage insights to continuously enhance recommendations and strategies.
- Editorial Collaboration: Work closely with the editorial director to ensure communications resonate and break through to team members.
- Cross Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure consistent communication and uncover opportunities for innovative storytelling.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and at least four (4) years of experience in internal communications or public relations or a High School diploma/GED and at least seven (7) years of experience in internal communications or public relations.
- Experience working cross-functionally to execute communications initiatives.
- Experience building relationships with key stakeholders.
- Experience leading and completing multiple projects on deadline.
- At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.
- At least 2 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross-functional team leadership.
- Willing to travel up to/at least 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Human Resources or as part of a Human Resources team.
- Experience in marketing or communications.
- Experience leading internal communications for a large and diverse employee population.
- Experience managing outside consultants.
- Experience counseling senior leaders and supporting their communications strategies.
- Strong relationship-building skills and experience working cross-functionally to influence and drive business priorities.
- Experience working in a turnaround, start-up business or intersection of legacy brand in a reinvention phase.
Salary Range$115400 - $196200 / Salaried
