Job Summary:

As Specialist, Talent Acquisition Programs you’ll support the strategic arm of the talent acquisition function at Walgreens. This team works with sourcing and pipelining talent through brand and marketing, diversity outreach and early careers. You’ll gain exposure into what makes Walgreens special as an employer, as well as experience how we market that both internally and externally through mediums such as our careers site, marketing flyers, and social media.
Also as part of the Talent Acquisition Programs team, you’ll have the opportunity to work with our internship and rotational programs – the lifeline of driving the earliest of talent into our organization. Additionally, you’ll help support the work of our diversity scholarship programs and may work with our diversity partner organizations to help drive diverse talent into Walgreens and continue to champion an inclusive workforce.


Job Responsibility:
  • Maintains and assists in developing process documentation for end to end recruiting process.
  • Researches and stays current on market trends in Talent Acquisition. Provides feedback and suggestions for consideration to TA Leaders
  • Partners with other areas of HR, including HR Shared Services on any COE support needed for logistics on Talent Acquisition programs.
  • Maintains relationships with external vendors and monitors their service level agreements SLAs.
  • Acts as the point of contact for issues from external vendors and partners.
  • Partners with HRIS to recommend system enhancements and identify opportunities for more efficient processes.
  • Coordinates hiring events as well as campus recruiting initiatives in conjunction with field and corporate leadership
  • Responsible for partnering with TA leaders to make recommendations on process, technology, and other areas of candidate and hiring manager experience

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree and at least six months of experience in talent acquisition, talent management or human resources or high school/GED and at least 4 years of experience in talent acquisition, talent management or human resources.
  • Experience establishing & maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization, in the business community & with vendors.
  • Experience providing customer service to internal or external customers, including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example using SUM function, setting borders, setting column width, inserting charts, using text wrap, sorting, setting headers and footers and/or print scaling).
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example applying a theme, formatting character spacing, inserting a picture, changing slide layout and theme colors, adding transitions, customizing slide numbers, changing chart style and/or formatting font).
  • Willing to travel up to/at least 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as human resources or business administration.
  • Master's degree or MBA.
  • At least one year of experience in talent acquisition, talent management or human resources.
  • Experience in retail/healthcare.
  • Experience with project management (for example: planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives).
  • Experience with professional writing.
  • Familiarity with promoting on social media.
  • Creating digital designs, preferably in Canva or similar tool.

Salary Range$63100 - $101200 / Salaried
