Creating pathways to opportunity.

Retail Employees with Disabilities Initiative (REDI)

The Retail Employees with Disabilities Initiative (REDI) program is designed to provide participants with the opportunity to build valuable retail skills through hands-on, on-the-job training. As part of the REDI program, candidates will learn the skills needed to succeed in the Customer Service Associate role.

At the conclusion of training, store managers complete a standard evaluation and provide feedback. Candidates who receive a store manager’s recommendation may be considered for hire as a Customer Service Associate and may bypass the traditional application process by applying through an expedited pathway.

REDI program overview

As part of the REDI program, candidates can expect:

  • A flexible training schedule (4-6 weeks part time)
  • To work with a supported employment professional to build on-the-job retail skills by learning the job functions of the customer service associate role

The REDI program is a voluntary training experience. It is an unpaid externship. Completion of the REDI program does not guarantee employment.
