An example of a program that provides career development is Walgreens Front End Pharmacy Certification Program. Walgreens offers store leadership and select front end team members a pathway to national pharmacy technician certification. This program equips them with the necessary skills and experience, through a flexible and immersive program. Walgreens University was built to help provide educational opportunities for all of our team members to grow their careers and improve themselves. Today, Walgreens University delivers hundreds of courses that are developed both internally and through other educational institutions. Because we know that advancing your education is important, many of our programs offer the opportunity to gain college credit.
We’ve also established unique partnerships with universities around the country. Through these partnerships, Walgreens employees (and in some cases, immediate family members) may be eligible for tuition savings of 10%–40%.
