This role will successfully drive and support the short and long term objectives of the Walgreens Business Service (WBS) program. This role oversees the day to day operations and governance processes starting at the transition phase thru steady state operations. Leads a team of program managers, business leaders and off shore vendor team(s) to attain enterprise wide operational effectiveness and efficiency. Oversees decisions regarding offshore team operational structures and alignment to program's contractual requirements in line with program financials. Oversees vendor performance and service levels, including evaluating service level credits and approvals for service or contract change. Will drive the implementation of complex changes that integrate with broader initiatives that champions transformation. Serves as a collaborative leader who can maintain a big picture view of the business and can translate the strategy into specific goals and objectives.
Job Responsibilities :
Leads day to day WBS program operations in alignment with off shore vendor to ensure performanceand service level agreements are established and maintained
Provides critical thinking and influence by helping to link the company’s strategic agenda to theresulting execution plan. Provides guidance and counsel in development of long range plans involvingstrategy development, resource allocation, work plans, timelines, and financial outcomes
Prepares, facilitates and reports program status updates during planned leadership communicationsessions
Acts as focal point for operational issues and risks that require cross team management andescalations
Resolves conflicts by making decisions, or negotiating with key stakeholders, including executivemanagement
Assigns, escalate and track issues for resolutions
Works closely with legal to drive understanding of contracts, statement work (SOW), standardoperating procedures (SOPs), and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure vendor deliver on contractual obligation
Manages relationships across customers, business units/functions and vendors to coordinatecustomer supply chain activities
Prioritizes multiple activities simultaneously and completes or delegates work to ensure commitmentsare met
Monitors and manages user satisfaction with services and resolves escalations from business
Ensures compliance by interacting with internal / external groups regarding policies, processes andinternal controls
Interfaces with vendor partners virtually and in person to build relationships and assure qualitydelivery of services
Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of experience in one or more of the following functions:strategy, project management, or process improvement OR High School/GED and at least 9 years of experience in two or more of the following functions: strategy, project management, or processimprovement.
At least 3 years of experience leading cross functional teams to drive enterprise wide businesstransformation initiatives.
Experience collaborating cross functionally in a matrix structure and influencing stakeholders at alllevels of the organization.
Experience in diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex issues and recommending andimplementing strategies to resolve problems.
Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using AVERAGE function, merging and centeringcells, printing centered page and/or creating a pivot table).
Advanced level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: changing picture styles, customizinganimation and/or setting automatic slide timings).
Advanced level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: adding developer tab, creating a macro,formatting table style, inserting comments and/or creating a mail merge).
Experience developing strategic initiatives which align with business goals and budget
At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.
At least 3 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross functional team leadership.
Willing to travel up to/at least 25% of the time for business purposes (domestically and/or internationally).
At least 8 years of experience in management consulting industry.
At least 3 years experience leading cross functional strategy or cost workshops within retail and/orpharmacy.
Experience communicating strategy and complex business initiatives in a clear and concise manner tomultiple types of audiences and channels.
Experience influencing cross functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Experience in effectively driving change throughout a large scale, complex organization.
