Job Summary

Assists in the development and is responsible for the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion programs and initiatives in support of a business unit or functional area. As a thought leader, ensures alignment with the DE&I strategic framework to enhance diversity, equitable talent practices and workplace inclusion capabilities across the assigned business unit or functional area. Responsible for leading the day to day development and implementation of DE&I education and training programs and provides consultation to key stakeholders on matters of diversity, equity and inclusion. Provides DE&I best practices or leading solutions aligned with business objectives and enterprise-wide diversity and inclusion goals.

Job Responsibilities
  • Attends local HR leadership meetings to acts as strategic thought partner on DEI best practices
  • Embeds DE&I into people processes, policies and practices
  • Coaches business leaders to support DE&I goals and objectives
  • Conducts needs assessment and leads development and implementation of D&I education and training initiatives that will further enhance the organization’s DE&I capabilities
  • Facilitates DE&I workshops and training across all levels in the organization
  • Leverages data to influence change, assess progress against DE&I goals, and mitigate roadblocks
  • Launches and leads business/functional DE&I champion’s network to enable change at pace
  • Encourages engagement and enablement of BRGs in support of DE&I efforts
  • Manages functional plans for key internal (eg. World day for cultural Diversity) and external engagement in DE&I corporate-wide initiatives
  • Sets annual objectives and communications plan to maximize ROI for strategic DE&I partnerships that support the sourcing & hiring and development of diverse talent
  • Partners with comms to coordinates functional comms plan for DE&I
  • Researches external DE&I best practice research / competitive intelligence

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of experience in human resources and/or a diversity-related role. OR High School/GED and at least 7 years of experience in HR and/or a diversity-related role
  • Knowledge of equal opportunity and fair employment laws and practices
  • Experience developing strategic initiatives and programs that align with business goals and priorities
  • Experience assessing benchmark information and research data on diversity, equity, and inclusion best practices for internal application
  • Experience utilizing workforce demographic data to drive and influence DE&I outcomes
  • At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.
  • At least 2 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross-functional team leadership.
  • Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with advising, partnering, influencing and effectively consulting with diverse internal and external stakeholders
