Centralized Services Pharmacist Summer Internship (Onsite Call Center)
Job ID 1753649BRProvides the best patient experience through assisting the pharmacist and pharmacy team members in accordance with state and federal regulations. Responsible for using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. Models and delivers a great customer experience. Learns and champions pharmacy policy, procedures, and customer service best practices needed to perform as a future pharmacist.
Job Responsibilities
- Engages customers and patients with prescription services, handling inquires withprofessionalism, empathy, and accuracy.
- Models and promotes excellent customer service practices.
- Under the supervision by the pharmacist, assist in the practice of pharmacy, in accordance with state, federal, and company policy. Reviews and complies with the Walgreen Co. Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
- Gains experience in centralized pharmacy services, including call centers and/or fulfillment center environment.
- Supports prescription entry, third-party processing, filling, and dispensing under pharmacist supervision.
- Aids in patient care services such as counseling and health screenings within the allowed scope of practice.
- Reports prescription errors promptly and adheres to quality and compliance policies.
- Adheres to the Walgreen Co. policy regarding Good Faith Dispensing
- Assists with patient profiles, orders, and inquiries.
- Completes assigned tasks, maintains professional relationships, and complies with company policies.
- Maintains knowledge and skill in healthcare and pharmacy and healthcare developments through training and continuous.

Basic Qualifications
- Must be a current student enrolled in an accredited school of Pharmacy program.
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico).
- Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working at Walgreens.
- Experience in filling prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring, and weighingmedications - with math skill.
- Experience in Microsoft Office with moderate experience in computer.

Salary Range: $16.5 - $22 / Hourly
