Job Summary
Manages all credit, debit, FSA, EBT and other payment programs as well as the associated relationships with processors, networks, check authorization, and settlement companies; negotiates contracts and pricing with card associations, debit networks, acquiring banks and ATM providers. Stays abreast of the latest payment and card service trends within the legal, regulatory, economic, competitive, and technology space. Mentors, coaches, and develops staff members.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manages all credit, debit, FSA, EBT and other payment programs. Manages the associated relationships with processors, networks, check authorization, and settlement companies. Negotiates contracts and pricing with card associations, debit networks, acquiring banks and ATM providers. Negotiates acceptance and rebate agreements.
  • Manages the annual credit/debit card fee budget. Develops and implements cost reduction strategies to reduce credit and debit card fees.
  • Manages ATM program for company to build on strategy to increase customer traffic. Establishes and builds on relationships with banks/independent providers to ensure goals are met. Understands and enforces terms and conditions of each contractual agreement developed by provider. Manages day to day coordination and implementation with staff. Works with store operations and loss prevention to ensure functionality and safety of ATMs in all stores.
  • Maintains awareness of the changing payment’s landscape while keeping management abreast of trends, opportunities and risks in the marketplace. Establishes a vision for card services within the company and executes on that vision.
  • Analyzes expected costs and benefits of new payment functions and other innovative technological enhancements. Recommends best-in-class improvements and supports the implementation of recommended changes. Partners closely with Web Ops to provide the best multi-channel experience to customers by merging in-store and online experiences with payments.
  • Remains current on changes within the legal, regulatory, economic, competitive, and technology realm as it relates to payments and card services.
  • Ensures compliance with security of credit and debit card data (PCI DSS - Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards).
  • Supports special projects and initiatives as appropriate.
  • Mentors, coaches, and develops staff members through orientation, training, establishing objectives, communication of rules and constructive discipline. Builds employee morale and motivation.

The actual salary an employee can expect to receive, plus bonus pursuant to the terms of any bonus plan if applicable, will depend on experience, seniority, geographic location, and other factors permitted by law. Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of experience in an analytical role in finance, accounting, business management, quantitative analysis or economics or High School/GED and at least 5 years of experience in an analytical role in finance, accounting, business management, quantitative analysis or economics.
  • Experience managing payment programs (e.g. credit card, debit card, EBT, FSA ATM networks)
  • Experience working as the financial liaison on a business team.
  • Experience negotiating contracts.
  • At least 1 year of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross-functional team leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in accounting or finance, or an MBA. #LI-ML1

Salary Range$93955 - $150290 / Salaried
