Job Summary :

Under the direction of the HR Manager, works collaboratively to provide HR support regarding a broad range of Human Resources activities including but not limited to employee engagement, performance management, recruitment and selection, employee relations, compensation, employee benefits, training and special HR projects as assigned. Understand business needs and how Human Resources can influence and lead the organization to meet key objectives. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices. Partners with HR COEs on escalated matters and provide coaching to the leadership. Promote a positive working environment amongst all team members and ensure smooth communication with team members and leaders and to resolve issues in a timely manner.

Job Responsibilities :
  • Builds strong relationships with leaders and provides partnership to implement HR strategies, programs, and deliverables to the business.
  • Provide coaching and guidance pertaining to organizational policies and practices, such as equal employment opportunity, sexual harassment, fair wage hour and work condition practices.
  • Conducts and/or supports the recruitment effort for all exempt and, nonexempt team members, and as well as contingent workers; conducts new employee orientations; and monitors career pathing program for continued growth.
  • Consult with managers and supervisors on absenteeism, turnover, and workforce data to help anticipate talent gaps.
  • Knowledgeable on the employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long term disability, 401K, etc. to assist team members with inquiries.
  • Attends facility meetings providing up to date information related to company news, changes and announcements. Streamline communication to the appropriate level for the most favorable adoption of new initiatives, policies, and concepts. Facilitates discussion, encourages feedback, and can provide timely resolution. Notifies management of ongoing concerns and trends.
  • Maintain employee records of employee attendance, leaves, disciplinary, new hire paperwork, etc. as required.
  • Continuously inspire a culture of celebration, appreciation, and recognition to drive engagement. Support the launch annual engagement survey, analyze results and partner with leadership to develop strategies to drive positive workforce.
  • Ability to work independently in ambiguous situations; Make sound judgment to analyze situations and make appropriate decisions and/or recommendations.
  • Mentor and help train less experienced HR staff. Provide feedback on performance reviews. Assist with interviewing and selecting new team members.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree OR High School Diploma/GED and at least 3 years experience in employee relations, staffing & selection, compensation & benefits and/or training
  • Experience applying the knowledge of Federal, State, Labor and Employment laws, Workers’ compensation, FMLA, ADA and OSHA laws.
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using SUM function, setting borders, setting column width, inserting charts, using text wrap, sorting, setting headers and footers and/or print scaling).
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: applying a theme, formatting character spacing, inserting a picture, changing slide layout and theme colors, adding transitions, customizing slide numbers, changing chart style and/or formatting font).
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: inserting headers, page breaks, page numbers and tables and/or adjusting table columns).
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule that may include working
    2nd and 3rd shifts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years human resources experience in employee relations, staffing and selection, compensation and benefits and/or training OR High School Diploma/GED and at least 5 years human resources experience in employee relations, staffing and selection, compensation and benefits and/or training
  • Experience with Labor Relations
  • Experience working in a distribution, manufacturing and/or production environments.
  • Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.

Salary Range$63100 - $101200 / Salaried
