Job Summary

Responsible for successful implementations and continuous improvement of the Mercury Gate TMSsolution. This role will be the super user and process expert for the MG TMS for their specific region andcluster of sites. This person will specialize in the current and potential capabilities of the TMS andaligning those capabilities with business needs. This position will work closely with regional and localtransportation teams to reduce the cost of transportation. Responsible for enabling regional users andlocal teams to best utilize and optimize the Transportation Management System to deliver best-in-class results including increasing backhaul revenue while reducing operating costs.

Job Responsibilities
  • Has overall knowledge of the end-to-end process knowledge. Responsible for learning and testing the Mercury Gate TMS system including design validation and complete solution testing activities.
  • Coordinates and Develops all End User Trainers and go-to resources for end users during Go Live. Responsible as system admin lead and owns solution support for the region.
  • Ensures the development of innovative approaches, processes, and solutions that support department strategies. Implements strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.Erroneous decisions will result in critical delays in schedules and/or unit operations and may jeopardize overall business activities.
  • Interacts regularly with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas and or stakeholders.
  • Requires the ability to adapt to change, or gain acceptance from others in sensitive situations, without damage to the relationship.
  • Creates and fosters a collaborative environment within the Transportation Team, focused on engagement, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Owns measurement of all Key-Performance Indicators and works to highlight site-specific opportunities and leads course-correction activities for improvement
  • Champions company initiatives, connecting efforts to company vision and purpose and driving increased engagement.
  • Monitors industry trends, best practices, and regulatory issues as they relate to Transportation and shares learnings, as appropriate, with direct reports and peers.
  • Develops and mentors through on-boarding, open communication, training, and developmentopportunities

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and at least 4 years of experience in a supply chain or business role OR a High School/GED plus 7 years of experience in a supply chain or business role.
  • At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace
  • At least 2 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross functional team leadership.
  • Willing to travel up to/at least (25%) of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA/Master's Degree
  • APICS CSCP Certification.
  • At least 3 years of experience managing 3rd party relationships

Salary Range$115400 - $196200 / Salaried
