Application Architect
Job ID 1535203BRResponsible for developing, maintaining, and enforcing governance structures and processes for the organization’s enterprise architecture. This individual will play a key role in defining, implementing and overseeing the governance processes and practices. Ensure alignment between the organization's business and technology strategies while promoting best practices, compliance, and continuous improvement. This role requires a strong ability to work cross-functionally with various business and technology teams, providing expertise on architecture governance and ensuring that architectural decisions support the organization’s goals.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develops, maintains, and communicates processes and standard practices related to the design,development, and implementation of application solutions and patterns.
- Fosters and encourages solution reuse within Business Units and at the Enterprise level.
- Facilitates and enables the integration of applications and business processes using commonmethods, in managing projects with enterprise-wide impact.
- Assists in application portfolio management, standards development, maintenance, andgovernance.
- Mentors first level and mid-level Architects.
- Collaborates with senior business and technology stakeholders to ensure the enterprisearchitecture aligns with the company's strategic objectives.
- Helps define IT transformation roadmaps and ensure they align with business priorities.
- Ensures that EA decisions consider both current and future business needs
- Promotes continuous improvement of the EA governance framework, integrating feedback andlessons learned.
- Stays updated with the latest trends in enterprise architecture, governance practices, and ITstandards.
- Provides recommendations for tools and technologies that can enhance governance processes.
- Develops and deliver training to ensure employees and stakeholders understand EA governance principles and practices.
- Acts as a mentor to other team members, providing guidance on EA governance best practices.
- Acts as the key point of contact for governance-related inquiries and support business units in making informed architectural decisions.
- Facilitates communication and collaboration between architecture, development, and operational teams.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years OR High School/GED and at least 7 years experiences in software engineering, application development, or similar.
- Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of experience in Information Technology and/or Governance OR a High School Diploma/GED and at least 7 years of experience in Information Technology and/or Governance.
- At least 4 years of experience in SAP with at least 3 years within IS-Retail implementations, including process improvement, gap analysis, configuration and customization work, planning and managing the scope and all deliverables of an IS-Retail implementation. At least two full lifecycle SAP IS-Retail implementations.
- Knowledge of the IS Retail solution and how it will affect each operational area of the company’s business.
- Knowledge of CAR and how it is integrated to IS Retail and legacy analytics.
- At least 3 years of experience working on Inventory Management solutions at the store level, including device deployment and support.
- Experience helping staff a new COE and building a long-term team.
- Experience with interfaces to/from SAP and third-party systems
- Experience with SDLC / SW development processes (RUP, Agile, Waterfall).
- At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.
- At least 2 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross functional team leadership.
- Willing to travel up to/at least 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in IT/CS.
- Experience presenting and leading group discussions. Experience utilizing verbal and written communication skills - articulating and communicating information and ideas to varying audiences and in multiple written styles (persuasive, informative, narrative) in order to negotiate/gain access to information and records.
- Experience using analytical skills, tools and techniques to investigate information and to draw conclusions.
- Experience diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems
- Industry experience with pharmaceutical retail, distribution and inventory management
- Experience with the SAP IS-Retail Best Practice starter pack
- Excellent hands-on configuration ability in one or more IS-Retail related module
Salary Range $127500 - $204000 / Salaried
